Yesterday we learned how to strum on your guitar using a guitar pick, today we learn how to do the same thing using only our fingers. This is a useful technique to play the guitar for when you are fingerpicking one part of a song and need to quickly switch and start strumming. The first thing you need to do is get your fingers in the right position.

This is a beginner guitar series that is focused on helping new players learn how to play the guitar in the easiest way possible. There is a lot to read for this first article, but don’t get discouraged! There is a lot to cover and a lot to talk about, so let’s start with the basic introduction.
